MTFS Performed and
Implemented a Life cycle management program for the current computer
equipment that was onboard site when I reported aboard. The site’s
equipment was outdated and continually having issues. Was able to get
with Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center (DDEAMC) IMD CIO and to
get them to include Medical task Force Shelby in their Life cycle management
program (since we were a remote clinic for DDEAMC) and replace the old
outdated computers with new Dell OptiPlex GX-620 workstations. Acting as

the Medical Task Force. Liaison with DDEAMC IMD and the Medical Task Force
here at Camp Shelby for services and issues that could not be resolved
locally. Assisted the Medical Task Force Shelby Facilities Manager, Ms.
Lamb, with design, network layout and com room locations for all of the new
buildings that were built for the Medical Task Force, as we went from 4
buildings when I got here to having 12 buildings now. Worked with the DDEAMC
Networking Chief to have out network upgraded from a daisy chain to an actual
Star network where each building now has a direct connection back to 1302
where the core switch is located. This also required working with Camp
Shelby DOIM on getting the fiber installed so that this could happen, also
worked with Camp Shelby DOIM to get a direct connection installed from 6606
(the DCO) to 1302. Our connection used to go through 2 other buildings
(bldg.1001 & 1002) prior to 1302. Installed/Replaced /Repaired all
servers and computers for the Medical Task Force here at Camp Shelby. On-site
Supervisor/Lead Technician for other technicians and myself. Primary job description is the Site Lead Desktop
Support Technician/Sys Admin being a remote site for DDEAMC IMD and having
limited technicians located at this site we often fulfills other duties
outside of our current job descriptions, which include performing duties as
Sys Admin for the local servers for both Medical Task Force and Dental.
Also performed duties as Network Technician troubleshooting various
networking issues such as fiber connections going down, switches going
out/offline, and installing/upgrading switches. Provided support for
the DENCOM personnel and equipment on site. Installing and
troubleshooting issues with VoIP phones and other telephony devices.
Act as the liaison between Camp Shelby DOIM, DDEAMC IMD and the Medical Task
Force Shelby for IMD related issues. Assist the Medical Task Force
Facilities Manager with input for IMD related issues on building remodeling
and floor plans for new buildings (i.e. drop locations, com. Rooms, AC
